We’re seeking commercially astute and relationship-driven
Business Development Managers (BDMs) to join a high-growth underwriting agency that’s redefining the market approach to
Latent Defects Insurance in the construction sector. With key roles in Melbourne and Sydney, this is an exciting opportunity to influence market perception, build strategic broker relationships, and support C-suite-level decision-making within top-tier clients.
What You’ll Be Doing - Act as a senior ambassador for the brand, educating brokers and their clients, often large-scale developers or property owners on the Latent Defects Insurance model and how to position it strategically.
- Identify and drive high-value opportunities across Victoria or NSW, using your established network and deep understanding of the insurance landscape.
- Cultivate and manage strong, strategic relationships with broker partners, often engaging at senior levels to align risk solutions with client objectives.
- Present confidently to executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite decision-makers within brokerages and client organisations, to communicate product value and strategic benefits.
- Represent the agency at targeted industry events, panel discussions, and executive networking forums to elevate market presence.
What We’re Looking For - Proven success in a BDM, distribution, or senior account management role within general insurance, construction or engineering services.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex or high-value commercial accounts, including direct engagement with corporate clients and executive stakeholders.
- A natural presenter, comfortable leading boardroom-style discussions, running educational sessions, and influencing C-level executives.
- Deep knowledge of commercial insurance distribution, ideally with an existing network in brokerages such as Coverforce, Honan, or similar.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of independently managing a sales pipeline with a focus on solution selling and long-term value creation.
- Experience in construction-related insurance (e.g., Latent Defects, Contract Works, PI for builders/engineers) is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
