We are working with a large insurance organization who are seeking a Property Underwriting Manager to lead their new High Hazard team of experts!

In this role you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive underwriting strategy that aligns with our corporate goals and provides exceptional value to our partners.
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of underwriters involving training new underwriters on product, processes and guidelines.
• Drive a culture of outstanding customer service while standardizing underwriting practices across the national team to ensure consistency and quality.
• Underwrite a renewal and new business complex portfolio when required.
• Regularly assess and refine our High Hazard Property offerings, focusing on market insights, risk assessment, and innovative technology solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Distribution team to strengthen broker relationships and enhance market awareness, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for brokers, supported by essential resources to empower their success.

You will need: 

• A strong technical background in Property Underwriting preferably on high hazard risks.
• The ability to present to broker partners and understand and educate stakeholders on product.
• A natural ability to lead and mentor
• A collaborative go getter atitude.
