Are you a Project Engineer (construction, structural or civil) ready to step off site and apply your technical expertise in a new way with a growing insurer?

We are seeking an Engineer or Construction Professional ready to transition into a Construction Underwriter role specialising in Contract Works, Liability, and Latent Defects insurance.
  
This is an opportunity to leverage your technical knowledge of construction methodology, structural systems, and project risk without being on site every day.
  
If you have reviewed drawings, assessed defects, worked with consultants, or managed project risk, you likely already have experience that translates well into underwriting.
  
The Role 
  • Assess and underwrite complex construction risks across Contract Works and Liability.
  • Analyse engineering reports, design documentation, and risk exposures to create insurance policies. 
  •  Work closely with brokers and builders to understand project specifics and tailor coverage.
About You
  • Degree qualified Civil, Structural or Construction Engineer with more with experience on site, in design, consultancy or project engineering/assessing.
  • Comfortable reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes and technical reports.
  • You understand how projects are procured, delivered and where things can go wrong
  • Looking for a long-term career move that uses your technical foundation without being on site full-time
