We’re seeking a Underwriter / Senior Construction Underwriter (Contract Works & Liability) to join a collaborative, forward-thinking team specialising in Latent Defect construction products. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on complex risks, enhance your technical expertise, and play a key role in delivering innovative insurance solutions.

Location: North Sydney
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

The Role: 
  • Underwrite and assess complex risks, particularly in Contract Works and Liability.
  • Drive new business by quoting and binding quality risks in line with underwriting appetite and delegated authority
  • Build and manage broker relationships, acting as a key contact for niche liability solutions and delivering expert service
  • Contribute to product development and strategy, using market insights to identify trends and refine offerings
  • Maintain underwriting discipline through accurate documentation, pricing integrity, and adherence to regulatory standards
About You: 
  • Proven experience in contract works and liability underwriting
  • Skilled at managing broker relationships and delivering tailored underwriting solutions
