As business demand continues to grow, we’re looking for a proactive Underwriting Assistant to join their North Sydney team and support a close-knit group of underwriters.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with insurance experience (in broking, claims, or sales support) who’s ready to take the next step into underwriting or deepen their exposure to technical insurance products.

Location: North Sydney
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
The Role As an Underwriting Assistant, you will:

• Provide day-to-day support to a team of three underwriters across a mix of construction-related insurance products (including Contract Works, Liability, and Latent Defects)
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations with speed and accuracy
• Handle client queries and correspondence professionally and promptly
• Ensure policy documentation meets internal compliance standards and underwriting guidelines
• Assist with portfolio data analysis and reporting to support business insights

About You

• Previous experience in an underwriting support or insurance administration role (experience in construction or property lines is a strong advantage)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
