Job Description
The purpose of this role is provide analytical, problem solving and testing of actuarial calculations for Life Insurance products within the Project team that supports the migration to a new Policy Administration System (PAS). This will involve building a knowledge of the company’s’ products and systems, execute testing, identify any defects and potential issues that differ from the relevant requirements.
Other activities could include:
- Performing analysis and review complex formulae in actuarial calculations
- Problem solving complex scenarios with a pragmatic approach
- Design and coordinate an appropriate level of test coverage and apply risk-based approaches in all aspects of the calculations and testing
- Undertake the task given incorporating advice/direction within given timelines
- Being clear and thorough in documentation and ensuring trace-ability and approvals are evidenced
- Supporting Senior Business Analyst and project testing team members
- Life Insurance Experience 2 years + (must)
- Good understanding of key life insurance concepts is required
- Strong Business Analysis skills
- Good solid experience of how calculations work
- Have professional business acumen to be able communicate and influence key stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced macro/VBA skills and SQL
- Extensive Excel experience working with large amounts of data
- Systems /Data/Model testing experience, with PAS migration experience (nice to have)
