Business Development Manager - Insurance Broking

A new and exciting opportunity to join an established brokerage with a commercial portfolio.  Reporting into the Branch Manager you will be responsible for converting warm new business leads for commercial clients.

The role:
  • Driving new business growth of SME/mid-market client base
  • Negotiating terms with the insurer and presenting to the client
  • Preparing professional reports and presentations
  • Regularly attend client visits to maximise up-sell/x-sell opportunities and generate referrals
  • Attend industry networking events and maintain strong insurer relationships
 About you:
  • Tier 1 Qualified Insurance Broker
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a client facing role
  • Strong technical product knowledge across commercial insurances
  • Effective communication skills to foster and develop internal and external relationships
  • Proven track record of delivering substantial new business growth 
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
