Job Description
The role of CEO in one of my client’s major markets will have broad responsibility for all operations within the country and more specifically:
- Developing and delivering the strategic 3 year roadmap and business plan
- Providing oversight for all operations in country and lead the day to day business requirements
- Ensuring profitability targets and business growth is achieved in line with budget expectations
- Leading the direct reports (four) and indirect reports in an engaging and collaborative environment to achieve results
- Ensuring all legal and governance requirements are adhered to within country
- Oversee the fiscal activities of the company including budgeting, reporting and audit
- Maintain effective relationships across industry, government and broking partners
- Developing and implementing the operational efficiency program in country
- High technical capability in the general insurance market with specific relation to home and motor and SME portfolios (although my client does offer a wider range of products)
- A broad general management leadership ability within General Insurance
- The ability to analyse, interpret and then use the numerical aspects of running an insurance business to determine ongoing business decisions
- Experience of running a P&L end to end
- A collaborative and highly engaging leadership style that can be blending to take into consideration cultural differences
- A strong understanding of both direct and intermediated insurance markets
- Excellent knowledge across claims, underwriting and product
- Sound relationship management experience gained through broker driven markets
- A minimum “Associate level” recognition through ANZIIF
- The ability to relocate to the South Pacific if successful
- The ability to pass a medical
