Job Description
The Role:
- Proactively managing a portfolio of claims to settle the costs of the claim in a timely manner
- Actively resolving liability disputes with third party insurers
- Negotiating liability of a file before accepting demands received
- Instructing external solicitors and settling claims on a commercial basis
- Maximising returns to the company
- Act as a referral point for Claims Consultants regarding complex queries
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
- Minimum 3 years’ motor claims experience inc. settlements
- Experienced managing third party liability claims
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of Australian Road Rules
- Good understanding of common and civil law
- Utilise your strong background in claims and ‘step up’ in to this technical role
