Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Lead for an intial contract until the 31st June 2019. You will be joining an organisation looking to bolster their DevOps capability, and lead the testing capability within their Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reporting development. The DevOps Lead will be based in Surry Hills, Sydney.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for the implementation and DevOps practice within the enterprise data warehouse
  • Design, advise, implement end-to-end processes & workflows
  • Design, advise, implement end-to-end business processes and suggested work methods that enable high performance development;
  • Design, advise and implement standards /ensure adherence to agreed standards;
  • Provide feedback through automation on build and timings of processes;
  • Produce a testing, devops /continuous improvement strategy;
  • Development and maintenance of system documentation;
  • Work within a state of the art, greenfield dev ops environment;
  • Collaboration with data consumers, database development, testers /IT support teams
 
Essential skills and experience:
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Experience in implementing devops and associated technologies
  • Demonstrated understanding of the CI/CD lifecycle
  • Strong grasp of automation tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in devops tools (Atlassian/Gradle/Jenkins/Ansible)
  • A strong focus on delivering business outcomes
Nice-to-have skills and experience:
  • Experience working with a SQL database like Teradata.
  • Knowledge of Teradata’s UDI and GCFR
  • Experience with DevOps in Data Warehousing
  • Understanding of data management
