Group Claims Assessor

Due to growth, a position has become available with a growing Melbourne life insurer in their specialist income protection claims team, as a Claims Assessor. 

You will be managing a portfolio of around 50 Income Protection claims from eligibility through to completion. All you need is: 

  • Demonstrated experience in managing IP claims from end - end 
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to interpret medical reports and policy
  • A huge amount of empathy
  • A focus on customer service
  • A willingness to collaborate with the rest of the team

The Role:
  • Managing a portfolio of Income Protection claims 
  • Assessing liability/ eligibility of new claims and making decisions 
  • Reviewing medical & financial documents to assess claims 
  • Calculating payments 
  • Liaising with the claimant and key stakeholders 
  • Encouraging sustainable return to work 
  • Working within the policy
