My client, a key player in the Sydney life insurance industry is currently expanding and are on the lookout for talented Group Claims Assessors to join their prestigious Retail Claims Team! This is an exceptional opportunity to transition into a new a new line of insurance with full training around products/policies and procedures provided, as well as ongoing internal support and a clear pathway to future progression for successful candidates who excel in the role.
About the role
You will be responsible for the assessment and management of a portfolio of life insurance claims including Income Protection and TPD claims in line with the Policy Terms and Conditions., this will include:
Initial assessment of the claim
Developing injury management plans
On-going management of the claim
Liaising directly with the claimant, as well as various stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
(Experience) Possess a minimum of 2 years + experience in Group claims management
(Medical) Demonstrates basic knowledge of medical terms/concepts so they can interpret reports and apply knowledge to the assessment process
(Communication) Excellent written and verbal communications skills
(Intuitive/Investigative Skills) Demonstrates an understanding of the tools available to investigate claims
(Adaptability) Ability to adapt to a new environment and learn the process fairly quickly
