Job Description
My client is a established insurer with a significant proposition to build and grow their Group Insurance business within Australia.
The role of the BDM is a hybrid role that will see you responsible for:
- Identifying both industry fund and corporate clients that fit into my clients proposition
- Building a 12 month engagement strategy of meeting and developing relationships with the key decision makers within the prospect client list
- Understanding prospective clients needs from a group insurance prospective and working internally to build unique propositions that meet client needs
- Building a tender pipeline / timeline
- Working closely within internal operations including pricing, underwriting, claims to build out a core point of difference to win new business
- Managing new business accounts when won with a dedicated team to support you
You will be able to demonstrate:
- An exceptional understanding of the Group Insurance market
- A strong relationship management/ Sales background within group insurance
- An understanding of the industry fund and corporate sector drivers in selecting group insurance partners
- A history of successfully winning or maintaining corporate / industry fund business

This will be a national based role and so can be based in either Sydney of Melbourne and travel would be required.
