Job Description
This position presents real opportunity for growth both within the role itself and also for broader opportunities within the Group. Whilst open to relevant individuals from a broad spectrum of risk backgrounds this would be a perfect first step into industry for a professional services or management consultant.
Reporting to a divisional Chief Risk Officer and deputising on risk business management matters, responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Group Chief Risk Officer and divisional CRO’s with managing the operating rhythm of risk leadership and business management
- Assist in the delivery of key projects which help uplift capability and performance
- Lead projects around staff engagement, implement team-specific training/ career development initiatives and support the CRO in relation to structural improvements to the function
- Involvement in team budgetary discussions and assist in the ongoing management and tracking throughout the financial year
- Providing communication support to the Group CRO in relation to presentations both internally and externally
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary level qualifications
- Financial services experience is essential alongside an understanding of the domestic regulatory and legislative landscape across the banking and/ or wealth management space
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) with experience of writing reports and presentations; alongside the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships
- Experience of managing projects and/ or multiple tasks with conflicting priorities – proven organisational ability is a must
