Who is it with:

Our client is seeking an experienced technically oriented Product Owner to take accountability for the analysis, direction, and process engineering as well as playing a lead role in the transformation of their Microservice and Batch Enablement (MSBE) platform.

You will be part of the technology platform MSBE team and will be responsible for providing leadership as we continue the transformation of  our client's API and microservices platform.

What you will be doing:
  • Be responsible for the end to end product ownership, canvas and roadmap
  •  You will Work directly with the Microservice and Batch Enablement leadership team and key stakeholders to help prioritise work, regularly communicating outcomes, opportunities, risks and issues
  • Lead the team to implement and continually improve the Microservice and Batch processes and analysis capabilities
  • Guide and reinforce a culture where the product team are integral fr
  • Continue to develop and balance technical and soft skills 
  • Manage initiative pipeline of work for the MSBE platform
  • Working closely with and influencing our digital front door/digital trains and digital product teams
  • Supporting the analysis team when they have questions and enabling them to articulate these in a way that can be understood by the wider team to ensure right outcomes
What you will need:
Do you have a passion for API service technology as well as:
  • 5+ years within a Business Analysis, Digital Product or similar role
  • Experience with REST and SOAP interfaces
  • Extensive experience with delivery of APIs for digital applications and software
  • Experience in the tooling and associated assets required for software delivery
  • Strong interest in development and operations
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies – certification is preferred
  • Strong API and swagger understanding and experience
  • Exposure to the technology used to deliver software to customers, understanding on how this fits together with delivery
  • Experience working in large, complex projects in an unpredictable environment with competing priorities
  • Development and delivery of requirements and processes supporting the build and release of customer facing digital assets
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing/presentations skills
  • Risk assessment, planning and mitigation skills
  • Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within an Agile software development team, specifically in a cross-functional scrum team of 10-15 people
