Purpose of the role
- Assist and support the firms licensees, advisers and practices to provide quality strategic debt advice and cash flow management to their customers
- Support licensee practices to develop the appropriate framework, processes and customer value proposition to offer debt advice and cash flow management to their customers
- Deliver workshops and coaching for advisers and practices to raise the level of debt capability and knowledge
- Champion debt and cash flow advice with advisers and practices
- Deliver one-to-many Debt advice capability programs to build and embed the strategic debt and cashflow capability of advisers and ensure those participating are enabled and providing strategic debt and cashflow advice to their customers
- Train and on-board AMP Advice advisers via the delivery of debt advice education initiatives to build strategic debt and cash flow capability
- Responsible for contributing to the content of the existing ‘Debt Capability Program’
- Assist with identifying, promoting and implementing strategic debt advice and cashflow management improvement
- As required, design and contribute to Professional Development days for the firms advisers
- Well-developed knowledge of the Financial Services industry regulatory issues, compliance and standards (incl. education) is essential
- Well-developed knowledge of strategic debt advice and credit advice and the associated regulatory issues, compliance and standards is essential
- Knowledge and understanding of the practice and adviser capabilities, processes and frameworks required to provide strategic debt and cash flow management to a customer is essential
- General knowledge of Financial Services Licensee obligations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and appreciation of adviser business processes and practices
- Proven coaching and mentoring capability
- A minimum of 5 years in the Financial Services Industry
- At least 2 years experience in providing support to third party financial services professionals
i.e. financial planners, mortgage brokers, accountants - At least 2 years experience in a position where knowledge of strategic debt advice was required
- Experience in presenting and/or facilitation and coaching
- Experience in advice processes preferred
- Certificate IV, Financial Services (Mortgage Finance) – or acceptable equivalent acceptable under NCCP
- DFP or equivalent (or working towards completion)
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline preferred
- Qualifications in coaching or training highly regarded
