Senior Group Claims Assessor - Coaching Focused - Life Insurance

Our client has created a brand new Senior Claims Assessor role where they are looking for an individual who has excellent front-end claims assessment skills with a history of positive outcomes on short-term claims.

You will:
  • Manage a small portfolio short term claims (up to 6 months)
  • Assessment of claims including medical and financial reports to determine the eligibility for acceptance. 
  • Review medical documents and policy documents to develop claims strategies
  • Implement motivational interviewing techniques and early intervention strategies to work towards positive outcomes quickly
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate customer-centric behaviours
  • Coach, mentor and train new starters and other team members
  • File reviews and quality audits
What we need from you:
  • At least 12 months of Group Life Claims front-end assessment experience
  • Demonstrated coaching/mentoring experience
  • Precise medical and financial assessment skills
  • Allied health or law degree will be beneficial
