My client is a respected and innovative life insurer with significant investment across the entire underwriting function to further enhance the underwriting teams performance and capability.
The role of Senior Underwriter will see you responsible for:
- Assessing new applications within agreed service levels
- Making sound financial and medical assessments for new applications
- Ensuring decisions are in line with my clients underwriting philosophy
- Building effective advisor relationships
You will be able to demonstrate
- Strong experience of underwriting all retail life products (IP/TPD in particular)
- Excellent medical and financial underwriting experience in the Australian market
- Excellent relationship management skills with advisors
- An ability to follow guidelines but also look for opportunity to write profitable business by using your own sound judgement in assessing new applications
