About the role:
- Providing effective litigation strategies to minimise claims costs
- Collaborating with Claims Officers and Clients to come to fair and commercially sound liability decisions
- Working with the Case Managers and Team Leader to reduce claims and share ownership of higher risk claims
- Undertake and provide technical support in case reviews
- Mentoring, coaching and training the team in order to improve the quality of decisions
- Managing legal settlement for permanent impairment, common law and statutory benefits
- Working with Case Managers, ensuring stakeholder engagement and all relevant information obtained
- Working on Permanent Impairment claims with IMA and Case Manager
Your background/knowledge:
- Strong technical expertise, with an in depth knowledge of litigation and workers' compensation legislation
- Strong coaching/mentoring skills to develop all team members including Team Leaders, ensuring correct decisions are made
- Used to working within a targeted structure and meeting compliance measures
- Developed claims strategy and worked with continuous improvement processes
- Used to educating team members of case law, precedents and decisions
