A growing life insurer have opened up an opportunity for an Allied Health professional, Workers Compensation Case Manager or Personal Injury Lawyer to join their team as a Trainee Life Insurance Claims Assessor. Full training will be provided on systems, policy and processes.

All you need to start with is: 
  • 3 + years experience in either: Personal Injury Law OR Allied Health (Physiotherapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy) OR Front End Workers Compensation claims management
  • An ability to understand medical reports, conditions and diagnosis
  • A huge amount of empathy
  • A focus on customer service
  • An ability to review and analyse medical and financial documentation
  • A willingness to learn 
The Role:
  • Managing a portfolio of Income Protection claims of both a physical and psychological nature 
  • Assessing liability/ eligibility of new claims and making decisions 
  • Reviewing medical & financial documents to assess claims 
  • Calculating payments 
  • Supporting Claimants through injury/illness and providing empathy
  • Collaborating with stakeholders including - GPs, Rehab Providers, Trustee and Legal team
