Leading Innovative Financial Services Provider is currently in search of an experienced Financial Planning Manager to join the team based in Adelaide on a permanent basis.  This truly is a highly rewarding role with an opportunity to make your mark and advance your career.  The role is to directly manage a team of financial Advisers (including Associate Advisers) – approx. 15 direct reports.  You will have proven track record and success in the leadership of Financial Advisers and have in depth knowledge of financial advice within Australia.
Main responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for all aspects related to the people leadership of the Financial Adviser team, including Associate Advisers.
  • Leading, coaching and developing advisers to drive improvements in productivity, effectiveness, compliance
  • Driving new client and Practice growth by identifying and converting new business opportunities, including
  • Overall responsibility for people, processes, new client growth, existing client servicing and retention
  • Set & monitor KPIs for your team members and support them in achieving these targets
  • Strengthening profitability and financial results, compliance, culture as well as ad-hoc projects
  • Activity and sales management to drive adviser performance, efficiency, and ultimately profitability
  • Manage people issues (i.e. performance, grievances, restructures and workforce change, etc) with guidance from the Head of Advice
  • Take onboard adviser feedback and complex issues
  • Provide clear direction and inspirational leadership to all team members
Experience Required:
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Financial Advisers.
  • Well-developed knowledge of the Financial Services industry regulatory issues, compliance and standards(incl. education) is essential
  • General knowledge of Financial Services Licensee obligations
  • Experience in leading teams on a significant change journey
  • Experience managing risk and the corporate governance and compliance issues of a financial planning practice
  • Proven ability to hit and exceed revenue targets
Qualification/s required:
  • DFP qualification as a minimum, as well as relevant degree desirable
