Up to $130K Package - Hybrid Working - Specialist Technical Team

Ready to move beyond traditional case management and specialise in technical eligibility?

We're partnering with a leading personal injury insurer that is expanding its specialist Eligibility team and is seeking experienced Workers' Compensation professionals with strong technical capability who are looking to build their careers in a specialist eligibility function.

Whether you're based in Sydney or regional NSW, this opportunity offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the state while joining a specialist technical team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a specialist role focused on assessing new claims, applying NSW Workers' Compensation legislation and making timely, evidence-based eligibility decisions.

With smaller portfolios, structured technical support and genuine career development, you'll join a collaborative team where quality decision-making is valued over claim volume.

The Role:

As an Eligibility Specialist, you'll manage claims through the eligibility assessment process, ensuring decisions are made accurately, fairly and within legislative timeframes.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assess newly lodged Workers' Compensation claims
  • Review Certificates of Capacity, medical evidence and supporting documentation
  • Apply NSW Workers' Compensation legislation when assessing claim eligibility
  • Gather information from workers, employers and treating practitioners where required
  • Make timely, evidence-based eligibility determinations
  • Prepare clear, accurate written decisions and supporting documentation
  • Manage claims that proceed through the dispute pathway following an eligibility decision
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external scheme partners to deliver quality outcomes
About You:

We're interested in speaking with professionals from backgrounds including:
  • Eligibility Specialist
  • Technical Specialist
  • Senior Workers' Compensation Case Manager
  • Self-Insurance Case Manager
You'll also bring:
  • Strong NSW Workers' Compensation experience
  • Excellent understanding of NSW Workers' Compensation legislation
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Confidence managing complex stakeholder conversations
  • A resilient and collaborative approach
